SUMMER READING PROGRAM LOOKS A LITTLE DIFFERENT, BUT MANY THINGS WILL BE THE SAME!

Children, teens, and adults can pre-register on Beanstack NOW!  Log your reading and activities starting June 22!

How it Works

The Library’s Summer Reading Program isn’t just for kids — Adults can participate too!  All we ask is that you register on Beanstack, where you will track all your summer reading.  Anyone who reads at least 12 books over the summer will be eligible to win one of three prizes: a $40 gift card from the Book House of Stuyvesant Plaza!  The books you read can be any format — audiobook, eBook, or regular print. It can be a book of short stories or poetry, fiction, nonfiction, or graphic novel.  The simple goal is: READ!

We hope you have a wonderful, peaceful and healthy summer filled with lots of reading!

What to Read?

If you’re looking for a great book to read, consider checking out the books from our Summer Beach Reads list or those suggested by GPL’s Librarians in the Staff Picks category!  Both lists have titles available in print – just hit “request” – AND as a downloadable ebook or audiobooks on Overdrive — so you have several options to choose from!
