Our Library hosts a number of monthly and bi-monthly book clubs. You can register online, or we can help you register in-person. To borrow a copy of the book, you must have a library card in good standing. Pick up a copy at the Information Desk. Certain titles will also be available to Guilderland cardholders on Libby. Hopeless Romantics is a romance book club that meets the third Wednesday of every month to discuss swoon-worthy romance titles. The book club covers a wide variety of subgenres from contemporary to historical to paranormal romance!
Rainbow Reads is a book club that meets bi-monthly on Tuesday evenings to discuss LGBTQIA+ focused literature in a variety of genres.
Read It & Eat is a hands-on book club! Every two months we will choose recipes from a cookbook and then gather as a group the following month to share what we have learned and made. One lucky patron will win a copy of the featured cookbook.
Realm Explorers is a new book club that meets on Saturday mornings to discuss various science fiction and fantasy novels. Titles include Adult/Young Adult science fiction and fantasy books as well as graphic novels
This group is so popular that it now has two seatings. Night Owls meets Monday evenings to read the most talked-about titles in both fiction and nonfiction. Day Larks reads the same selection of books but meets at 2pm on the following Thursday.
Do you have what it takes to crack the case? Find out at the Whodunit Mystery Book Club! We will meet on the second Thursday of every month and read a variety of mystery books, from cozy to noir.
For those with a taste for the macabre, Fright Club reads today’s best Horror and Thrillers and meets the last Tuesday of the month.

Silent Book club is 75 minutes of quiet reading and 15 minutes of chatting about books! Bring your e-reader, physical book or audio (with headphones) and take time for yourself. Snacks and beverages are welcome also! Please see the Events Calendar for upcoming dates.
Live Virtual Author Talks!
We’re excited to unveil an ongoing series of outstanding live author talks online, to add to the book discussion groups that the Library currently offers! Each talk features the opportunity to participate in an author Q&A. There are typically between 2-3 bestselling author events each month! Books and authors selected will cover a wide range of fiction and non-fiction genres including historical fiction, contemporary fiction, romance, OwnVoices, poetry, business, personal growth, social justice, history, art, culture and more.
