PICK UP materials curbside!

PLEASE FOLLOW SIGNS – we may need to temporarily move the curbside pickup location, due to construction.  We anticipate project completion at the end of August, 2021, and can’t wait to welcome you back to the entire new-and-improved facility in September!


1) Request materials by searching the UHLS catalog at the top of our home page here; through the UHLS app; or by calling 518.456.2400.

2) We’ll notify you when your items are ready for pickup.

3) Park in the library’s main lot during these hours:

Monday – Wednesday – Friday:  9:30 am – 6 pm

Tuesday – Thursday:  9:30 am – 9 pm

Saturday:  10 am – 2 pm

Sunday:  CLOSED (Summer hours – July & August)

4) Call 518.456.2400 when you arrive.

5) Wearing a mask and following social distancing protocols, pick up your materials on a table in the Tawasentha Room.  Hand sanitizer is available.  

NO FINES are being assessed at the present time. If you happen to receive a UHLS notice regarding a fine owed, please email us at: ask.circ@guilderlandlibrary.org.   

The main library is NOT open to the public at this time, except for side entry to the Tawasentha Room.  Please follow signs.


RETURN borrowed items to the parking lot sheds 24/7 – closed on holidays.

Look for the designated return shed.  Please note:  It may take 10 days or more for materials to be recorded as returned on your account.

All fines are still waived.

Q:  When will the library’s construction project be completed?

A:  This project, approved by Guilderland voters in May, 2019, is expected to be completed at the end of August, 2021.  More information may be found here.

Q:  Do you offer public browsing?

A:  Not at this time – due to COVID-19 plus our major construction project.  Significantly less usable interior space makes maintaining social distancing inside the library especially challenging.  We look forward to opening the library fully to patrons when construction is complete at the end of the summer, 2021.  Please stay tuned for updates!

Q:  Are you offering programs at this time?

A:  YES!  Please check our Events calendar for virtual program options.  We are constantly adding new offerings, so check back often!
